Line up at the Civic Center parking lot beginning at 11 am and proceed down Highway 90 to Jackson Field. Parade will begin promptly at noon
Entry forms are required from everyone participating in the parade. All entries designated as "float" on the form will be eligible for the prize money of $150 for 1st place, $100 for 2nd place, and $75 for 3rd place. First Annual Study Butte-Terlingua Gem, Mineral and Jewelry Show.

November 28-Show opens 9 a.m. -Field Trip to Villa de la Mina a guided tour of an historic Mercury Mine. Blair Pittman retired photo journalist and Ring Huggins who developed the tour back in the ‘60’s will guide. Bring lights. No Fee.Time:TBA.
                                                     -Field Trip to Richie Ranch near Alpine guided by Terri Smith of Alpine. Terry does this for fun and the rancher gets a $5.00 entry fee plus 50 cents a pound for rock. Terri tells me that the material is an opal like material.

November 30- Show opens 9 a.m. Field Trip to famous Needle Peak (Woodward property) led by T. Woodward, a third generation rock hound rancher. Fee is $20.00 per person but you get 20 pounds of rock in the package. We need a minimum

Fort Davis National Historic  Site "Moonlight Tours"
Free 
  A series of walking tours beginning at 6:10 p.m. is planned. Each tour will last approximately one hour. 
This once-a-year special event enables visitors to step back in time to when Fort Davis was an active military post as they are guided by lantern light to various buildings and locations around the fort.
